The Algarve contains many of the worlds most gorgeous beaches and has 17 championship gold courses for golf included Villamoura and Quinto de Lago, water sports are everywhere and the surrounding countryside is abundant with olive trees, almonds and fruit trees.

It enjoys over 3000 hours of sunshine over the year and temperatures in July/august reach the high 80's. There is a lot of historical interest in the Algarve such as castles, Henry the navigator's school, ands interesting museums. Markets abound and gypsie markets are held regularly in Quarteria, with the artisans market in Loule.
